Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point work incorporating various other tricks and tools
I believe in the profound healing effects that can be achieved when touch is applied with deep presence, intention, intuition, and care. While my massages often bring pain relief, they do so by listening to the tissues and what they need to feel nourished, as I believe that relaxation is a vital component to health and healing. I have a background in Ayurveda and Thai massage, and a deep love of nature and the healing wisdom of plants. I am happy to focus the massage on targeted areas and/or address the full body, and I have a special affinity for bringing relief to both chronic and acute tension in the neck and shoulder areas.

The feeling of satisfaction I get from helping my clients through difficult physical injuries, discomfort, or simple relaxation is why I do what I do. I like the “problem-solving” that often comes with creating a plan to address particular issues my clients experience. Working together with the client to help relieve stress, tension, pain, or discomfort is always a new and exciting aspect to my profession. My philosophy for my practice is to create an atmosphere in which the client will feel comfortable and safe, while addressing their individual needs through a client-centered massage session.

Strong, anatomy informed deep tissue massage, Swedish relaxation massage.
My deep tissue work is tailored to meet a wide variety of client goals. I ran competitively for twenty years and enjoy helping athletes feel and perform their best. I supplement this work with myofascial release techniques, if requested. The focus of my relaxation massage is to relieve body-wide tension and calm the nervous system. I can supplement these sessions with Reiki, often blending these modalities to create the perfect massage for a client. I am trauma informed and always willing to explain what to expect during a session and make any accommodations needed.

Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi
Deep tissue and deep relaxation are at the core of my practice. I especially enjoy working with athletes, physical laborers, and anyone who asks a lot of their body. Having previously worked in a desk-based profession, I also understand the physical toll that long hours at a computer can take. My goal is to help clients relax, recover, and get in touch with their bodies.

Myofascial/Orthopedic/Joint mobilization
Much of the focus of the bodywork I do is to restore balance to my clients bodies – structurally, mechanically, functionally and energetically. My sessions are Swedish based using rehab modalities such as, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Active Isolated Stretching, and joint mobilization. My massage touch is firm, confident and caring. I continue to maintain an active focus on continuing my education, especially the philosophy of Structural Body Work and Anatomy Trains.

Swedish Massage, Polarity Therapy, Reiki
In addition to working at Elements Hot Tubs and Spa, I have been in private practice for over 35 years as a massage therapist and yoga instructor. I love creating an environment where clients can let go of stress and tension and feel a greater sense of peace and well-being in their mind and body.
I believe our bodies have an innate ability to heal if kept in balance. I like to work deeply but not painfully – I feel it is counterproductive. After being a practicing therapist for over thirty years, my style and modalities have blended east and west into a form uniquely my own. Your body guides me to your blockages and I like to coax it into releasing the dysfunction.

Deep Tissue
My work is a fusion between deep tissue and the passive stretching techniques prevalent in Eastern massage modalities. While I love offering deep work, I also believe in listening to the limits of the body by taking care to notice breathing and somatic changes throughout the massage. My massage work is a careful collaboration with your body, assessing your individual needs.

I love to tailor my session to each individual, as we all have different goals, lifestyles, and histories. It is essential to bring the body into deep relaxation to allow the layers of tissue to become more pliable, relaxed and released. I pay close attention to patterns of posture and strive to decrease pain and tension, increase mobility, and promote relaxation for each of my clients.
